Vive18 exists to save lives and challenge culture

We help young people make healthy choices without feeling left out — and prove that prevention can be positive, engaging, and genuinely fun.

Why Vive18 exists

Young people shouldn’t feel left out for making healthy choices — and they definitely shouldn’t feel bored, judged, or scared into making them.

We help students make educated decisions about drugs while rewriting social norms around substance use. By creating spaces where healthy choices are celebrated, we protect students, strengthen communities, and help young people build futures they’re excited about.

the reality

The pressure students are under is real

Today’s youth are navigating more pressure than ever before.

Anxiety, loneliness, and mental health challenges are on the rise — and many students turn to substances as a way to cope, fit in, or feel more “grown up.”

Health experts warn we’re facing a serious youth substance use crisis, including:

  • Vaping and nicotine use
  • Marijuana / THC / cannabis
  • Fentanyl and counterfeit pills
  • Alcohol and prescription drug misuse

Scare tactics don’t work. Shame doesn’t work.

And outdated “just say no” messaging definitely doesn’t work.

That’s why Vive18 exists.

What we do

More than a program — a prevention platform

Vive18 is a drug prevention platform that provides engaging education and programming designed to save lives and create safer environments for students to grow. Our holistic approach includes:

High-energy school assemblies

High-energy, story-driven presentations that spark real conversations about substance use, peer pressure, and decision-making — without scare tactics or lectures.

SEL-aligned curriculum and toolkits

Interactive, evidence-based lessons that build self-awareness, confidence, and life skills students can use long after the classroom ends.

Student-run, peer-led clubs

Empowering students to lead the movement, create sober social spaces, and shift school culture from the inside out.

Social and media content that extends impact year-round

Relevant, relatable media that reinforces prevention messages where students already are — on their phones, feeds, and timelines.

Strategic partnerships that strengthen prevention efforts

Collaboration with schools, coalitions, counselors, and prevention professionals to extend impact beyond a single event or program.

FAQs

Vive18 began when co-founder Jake White was a college student at the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh. Like many students, Jake wanted a place to make friends, have fun, and feel connected — without relying on drugs or alcohol.

So he created Party.0 (party-point-oh): sober, high-energy social events hosted on weekends. Within one semester, hundreds of students attended, national sponsors took notice, and media outlets across the U.S. started covering the movement. Soon, schools and organizations began asking Jake to share the story and bring the message to their students.

Today, Vive18 is our education-focused prevention platform for schools and communities, while Party.0 continues as a peer-led, student-driven social experience.

“Vive” means “to live” in seven different languages.
Our goal is simple: help young people stay alive — and not just survive, but truly live full, healthy, meaningful lives.

We believe that happens when students are empowered to use their minds and bodies to their fullest potential, without drugs. The number 18 represents the year we were founded — 2018 — and marks the beginning of the movement.

Most prevention programs rely on fear, shame, or outdated messaging. Vive18 doesn’t.

We focus on connection, belonging, and real-life experiences that students actually relate to. Our programs are positive, non-judgmental, and evidence-based — combining prevention strategies with social experiences students want to be part of.

No scare tactics. No awkward lectures. Just real impact.

Our programs are built for the adults who support students — and the students who benefit from that support.

We work with schools, school districts, grant-funded coalitions, counselors, prevention professionals, parents, human services organizations, Greek life, and first-year orientation programs. If your goal is to help young people make healthy choices, we’re here to support you.

No. We work with middle school, high school, and college-aged students, tailoring content to be age-appropriate and developmentally relevant. Our speakers and programs are designed to meet students where they are.

Getting started is easy. You can book a speaker, explore programs, or schedule a call with our team to build a prevention plan that fits your goals, audience, and budget.
