Jackie from SUNY New Paltz brought in collegiate prevention speaker Jake White to speak with the leaders at her university. He spoke with Residence Life, Student Activities, and Student Government and hosted workshops for them during their leadership training. Testimonial:
As prevention staff at SUNY, Jackie enjoyed that Jake was an interactive speaker who addressed drug and alcohol use in a unique way. He didn’t lecture the students, but inspired them to host and support substance free events on campus.
The students were also asking about starting a chapter of Jake’s program, Party.0, which will help them host off-campus sober house parties for SUNY New Paltz students. Students left with an education about the effects of drugs and alcohol and how they could still have fun without it.
