Amber Pace is a dedicated advisor to the Salmon Drug Free Youth organization at Salmon High School in Idaho. Her student leaders asked to have Jake White from Vive18 be their guest speaker for Red Ribbon Week. She said he went over and above expectations to make it a great day. From speaking at the elementary school and the middle school and high school, to doing a leadership session with their prevention club – and helping set up equipment for each session, it was great to work with him. Amber appreciated that Vive18’s message is not just a prevention speech, it gets students thinking about their goals and how they will achieve them. The “don’t do drugs message” doesn’t work. Jake brought a truly thoughtful message about choosing skill sets over shortcuts to have the life you want. Their students and teachers loved it and are already asking when he will be back.
