Hi Everyone! My name is Alexis! I am one of Vive18’s new social media marking intern and I am so happy to be here! I have learned so much already and excited to use the knowledge I have gained to help advance me in my career. A little bit about me is that I was born and raised in Dallas, TX. I love my city very much, it is so beautiful and one thing my friends and I love to do is to spend a night out in downtown Dallas trying new restaurants and riding scooters when the city use to offer them downtown.

I am mixed with African American and Mexican. I go to school at University of Texas at Arlington. Go Mavs! And I am a Senior and a double major in the college of business majoring in Management and Marketing. If I had advice for anyone who is just graduating high school I would say to go to college and experience it. I say that because I feel that college is essential is something everyone should at least experience in their lifetime. I believe it is the point in life where you truly grow and get to know who your true self. My favorite Disney movie is Lilo & Stitch. My favorite sport is basketball, I played a little in middle school and high school. My favorite colors are Aqua Blue and Lavender. I also enjoy playing video games like NBA 2k, and my favorite basketball player is Lebron James.

A little bit about my family. I have a little sister that is a freshman in college and apart of the National Guard. My sister and I do everything together. Our favorite thing to do together is go walking on a trail for a few miles, play basketball, and just to have fun in the city. I have family in Houston and El Paso, Texas. I have 2 nephews that I just adore named Jeremy and Jamie. They are 4 and 5. I also love hanging out with my boyfriend Brandon. He is from North Carolina and when he first came to Dallas it was so much fun showing him around the city.                                         

When it comes to music, I love plenty of different genres, but my favorite is 90’s R&B. Some artist I like is Aaliyah, Beyoncé, Drake, and Khalid. My favorite show is The Office, if you have not seen it yet go watch it! I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan! I have been to Orlando Studios and the Harry Potter section of the park was the first place I went to. My favorite holiday is Halloween. A skill that I have picked up when the pandemic first began was learning how to invest. I learned to invest in stocks, such day trading stocks and long term investing, as well as learning how to forex trade. For those that do not know what forex trading is, it is a way of investing which involves trading one currency for another. It is something that I have learned to be very interesting and a very good passive income if you are disciplined enough. My favorite stores is Bath and Body works. I love their candles and every time they have a half off sale I make sure I stalk up. Other stores I enjoy is Old Navy, Forever 21, and Torrid. Foods I enjoy is Mexican, Hibachi, Indian, and many more different kinds of food. One thing on my bucket list is skydiving and traveling the world. I love to be adventurous and travel. So far I have traveled to Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, and Cozumel, Mexico out of the country wise.
